Need Tire Help ASAP

I've got a long story to go with this but I'll try to keep it short. I knew back at the beginning of the summer that my tires were getting worn out and needed to be replaced. So, I made sure I had at least $1000 saved up just for tires so that when I found the best tires for my Evo IX I could take care of it right away. Well, first week in June came around and my wife got sick. We thought she had kidney stones (no big deal) but it turned out to be kidney cancer (very big deal). Well, after having a kidney cut out and spending an entire month in the hospital, she finally got out a month later. She is a student but I have a pretty good job with excellent insurance so we're not out on the street. But even with great insurance, if you run up a $100k hospital bill, you're going to have to pay quite a bit out of pocket. What has really stung is the 'outpatient' tests. Those babies are about $500 out of my pocket a pop. So anyway, she is still recovering and not working and I'm still getting caught up with all the med bills, sans savings. Enough whining from me. The tires have hit the breaking point. I HAVE TO DO SOMETHING ASAP. Check out the picture below. . .

I need to get at least two tires immediately. I need some recommendations for some decent but affordable tires. If it were up to me, I'd just shell out $800-something for a new set of Goodyear Eagle GS-D3s. Not an option at this point. I don't need great tires, just something that will get decent traction and won't end up getting me killed if I forget and take a corner with some aggression. $80-$90 per tire would be great. Maybe some Fuzion Tires??? Need help, let me know what you think.

Yeah, we get snow about once every 3 years where I live now. Where I grew up we never got snow and I ran summer tires year round. TireRack now ships from a warehouse in GA, so they're fast but you get stuck w/ 7% tax on top of the shipping. I'm thinking about the BF Goodrich g-Force Sports. I had them on my old mustang. They 'hooked' well drag racing, but I couldn't say much for the handling b/c that old car handled so poorly. I came w/in inches of wrecking that car one time thanks to Kumhos being very unpredictable so I'd like to stay away from that. Thanks for your input.

Here is what I run http://www.toyo.com/docs/tires/tires...category=sport

Toyo Proxes 4. They are a high performance all season tire. I have had them for a few years and think they are great. I not found a time yet where the tires want to let go. I think, if I remember correctly they are about $120 a tire.

There is a tire forum...right now family is more important. Get good, but cheaper, all-seasons - Kumho ASX are 90 or so a tire. Tires can be changed down the road.
