Bought mine with cash back in October of '04. Don't think I'll go the Evo route for my next ride.

I'm 21, Just bought the car for $25K USD 2 months ago with $13,000 Down ... With the total costs of importation was about $33,000+ by the time I got it into Canada. Tack on some $2700 and change for two tickets and registration. I owe $17,320 as of today ... hoping to pay it off in the next 17 months so I can get into a new VW Jetta for a daily.

ZB.

I paid mine off two years ago....I turned it into a 3 year loan with all the extra payments. I think my total interest paid on the car was only like $2,000 which is nothing for the life of the loan.

For all the newbs out thier.....do yourself a huge favor and pay the car off before modding big...it makes life soooooo much easier and honestly if something breaks, oh well, when you own it and its not your daily driver, you have little worries.

Back in 2003 I bought and financed mine.. I think I paid off the loan in cash after about a year so I didn't have to deal with a Lien on the title.

Is this in the US? Typo? Did you have trade in with a lot of negative equity?

$880/month x 72 months = $63,360 total payments, even at 5 years its 52,800.
