Best Year To Purchase?

I'm looking into buying an evo within the next few months, right after i get rid of my srt-4 and i was wondering if theres a "best year" to buy, i really want an 06 but i heard that you cant do cams on them is this true?

06 - best of the CT9A platform, out of the box. 05's are also nice if you cannot get an 06.

But really, once modified...sky/pocketbook any are great.

i'd say wait and see what they do with the 09's. honestly right now the 06 is the best, but all the EVO X needs to be the best is a little more power. if you plan on modding, i'd go with an EVO X because they are beasts when modded...stock vs stock though, i'd go with a IX MR or 8 MR if you can find one.

big turbo/built motor/drag racing/road racing - viii and go wild

I think your best value can be had in buying a nice 2003 EVO VIII. You should be able to find a nice one for about $18,500.

There are currently 98 '03 EVOs on CARS.com and 18 are under $18,500.

i say they all good exept for 2003 first year wonder alot of my friends that have 03 got recalls and problems but 04 and up are best.
