hey guys

im vlad im 16 years old and my dad gave me his evo 8 that he had for 2 years. so now im a proud owner of a boosted beast. im so stoked to be driving this thing. i wanna make it ridiculously loud, but not too powerful. drop it to the ground and get some wide rims. thats all in the hopefully near future when i raise enough money to get it done! im a mechanic at a bike shop in woodinville, washington. i know how the basics of the engine works and everything, tranny and fluid systems, i just dont know how exactly to modify it. which way, what do i need. etc. hopefully ill learn alot by being here. is there a trick to tuning the ecu? im getting a new exhaust, intake and BOV in my evo (evo 9 steel bov). well im happy to be here and stoked on everything about this site!

welcome man, I've been to that woodinville back in the day. Well you're very lucky to get a car like an evo at 16, just take it easy so you don't crash it. There's a lot of good info on this site. Just checkout the newb section on the basics of modding, it will answer a lot of your questions and help you learn the basics of modding evos. There's a cable you can buy to tune your ECU, but I would just take it to a good tuner in your area.

well just take your time and i hope you're mature enough for this kind of machine because it is by means not a toy. an evo can get you in a lot of trouble and also can get you hurt so please be careful. if you need info please sure before posting a thread, if you have any questions chances are there is a thread on it. oh btw welcome and enjoy your mitsu
