Howzit, mang?

I'm finally checking in with an intro. I'm 34 crusty years old, but most guess lower since I love the potty humor, heh heh. (Any Kevin Smith movie is cool in my book.) I live in the Denver metro area in Colorado, USA. Married, no bratty kids.

I (we, my wife and I share the cars) have a 99 VW New Beetle Turbo, and I have modded it a little. It has a chip, 2.5" catback exhaust, intercooler pipe upgrade, K+N filter, and some cosmetic alterations. Also have a 96 Isuzu Rodeo 4x4, with not one thing done to it. It kills me. I want to make it faster, but I keep hearing how weak the motor is, and it will just fly into pieces. One person who actually built up his motor somewhat says it is safe, but by the time I get around to having the time / money, I should have an Evo, with any luck.

I have taken my bug to the local drag strip, and in 95 deg heat at 5800 feet or whatever it is up here, I got a 15.9 at 91 or 93 or thereabouts. (I forgot now.) I think it could be faster in the winter time, but it is only a bug after all. It is fun, though.

My previous cars were:
1. 1979 Chevy Monza V6 (first car, in 1985)
2. 1979 Honda Accord (island car, when stationed in Pearl Harbor for Navy)
3. 1984 Ford Mustang L
4. 1989 Mustang GT (now we're talking! Bought new and kept 8 years)
5. 1996 Rodeo (still have)
6. 1999 VW New Beetle 1.8t (still have, also)

I always wanted a Subaru 2.5 RS, and then they brought the WRX. I almost got one, but then I heard they would bring the Evo. Well, here we are now, and I am still holding out for it. I also really like the Audi line, mostly the A6 / S6 Avant or Coupe. I wish VW would build a new Corrado, too, with AWD.

Well, I could go on forever. I love cars, plain and simple, and have want for more cars than I could ever possibly own. If I were rich, I would build a smallish 3 or 4 bedroom house, and have a massive garage to hold all 20 or so of my dream cars, and a lift or pit in there as well. Ah, to dream. Lotto anyone?

Anyway, hello!
