I have 55,000 on my 2005 Evo and am on the stock clutch. I drive it every day...

I think you just have to enjoy driving this kind of car. It's "rougher" than anything I've ever owned but I like the edgyness. By that I mean it's stiffer and noisier than a Mazda3 or a Honda Accord, etc... It's also hella faster which makes up for it.

silly question for ya.. do you have an Evo? I just got mine and I have no choice but to use as a daily driver. I live in the city so it gets hectic here. I love it as a daily. Noone tries to take me at the lights.
Imo, it's a great daily driven car as long as you are not constantly reving and pishhhing around the city.

I love DD mine. I have a aftermarket clutch that kind of frustraits me in stop and go traffic. But I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Best part of DD and Evo is making fun of the purpose built race car that you beat at autocross. No AC, no back seat, and you have to tow it here.

I DD mine - 24K miles after 1.5 years. No problems whatsoever - something to look forward at the beginning and at the end of the work day.

sure there are cars out there that get better MPG, more creature comforts, but why not. what hybrid will put that "smile" on your face after flooring the go pedal? i say daily drive it and enjoy it as much as you can!

I had my old evo as my dd for 2 + years. It was fun. Now my evo is mostly a weekend car.

I love that analogy. Makes me want to start DDing mine.

How does the RS do in the winter/rain without ABS? I haven't daily driven my IX RS and that might change soon. My beautiful fiance says I have too many cars.

No problems so far with the rain. I have driven in some pretty heavy down pours too. To this point the car has never been driven in the snow and I am not sure if it ever will. Has nothing to do with not having abs, I am just scared of some *** hole slamming into me. That and coming from a dsm back ground these Mitsu's love to rust.
