Hello All,
I purchased my 2005 EVO VIII this past friday used with 31'800 on the odometer. The car was modified a little, I am unfamilliar with these cars but i do know it has the methanol injection kit installed.
Onto my question, is there a site somewhere that breaks down the packages that were optional on these cars and what was included in the packages? this car i purchased has HID headlights, full leather interior, sunroof, BBS wheels, and from what i can tell, it should have the 6 speed but it doesn't....I wonder if this car has been through a transmission already and they dropped a 5 speed in becouse they are cheaper?
I plan to take it back to the dealer as the rear drivers door lock and handle do not work, also the brakes sqeek, i am going to see if they will cover that, but i am guessing not as it is a wear item.
I am looking at purchasing a turbo timer and boost control gauge, its too bad that cant all be wrapped into one little box.

Its not an MR. It has a sunroof. It sounds like a SSL package (sun/sound/leather) with the MR BBS wheels.
If it has meth injection you should definetly get a boost guage to start. Then I would reccomend getting the tune checked out. Sounds like the previous owner took some parts off before the sale cause nobody runs meth without a boost guage.
Is there a guage or some kind of display showing when the meth is being sprayed?

There is a little box with three dials, and a little green light that is tied to the methenol injection, it is mounted under the climate controls in the little cubby.
I contacted Mitsubishi directly and they are going to send me the Moreni (spelling ?) report, which is pretty much a duplicate window sticker showing everything the car came with from the factory.

But really check your tune asap with that meth on there. And Kiloalpha, last I checked you can get it at stores like Home Depot/Lowes. But I could be wrong, never had it on my car only friends' cars.

Go to the Regional forums and find a local tuner. Don't just dump windsheild fluid in there either. Your car may be tuned for straight water, denatured alcohol, meth, mix of some sort, etc.....
