Bleeding the ACD
Bleeding the ACD
I know the steps of bleeding the ACD, but would anything happen if you did turn the key in the on position and stepped on the gas pedal without having the intention of bleeding your ACD? Would anything bad happen?

Yes, your ACD pump would kick on ~3 seconds when it see that the system is pressurized, than kicks off (I did this last night after bleeding my system).
The probability of turning the key to ign. and putting the pedal to the floor is too common for anything bad to happen.
OEM's go to great lengths to determine statistically what sequence of bottons/knobs to push/turn for the costumer to NOT accidently do anything that would change the settings or functions of the factory vehicle.
