hey guys im doing a vehicle history report on this evo im looking at and it has 8 records. i understand all of them whcih include the two owners that bought it, vehicle registration and vehicle service at 3.2k which i hope was just an oil change....but there is a report that says manufacturer recall Evo FMVSS certification label. what is that? it also says the vehicle was serviced with 2 miles on it. im assuming this was just a check up before its sold or something. does anyone know what this is?

 

FMVSS stands for Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards. When a company does a recall on some part for a vehicle, it goes through the FMVSS. Then a vehicle is taken into a dealership and the service work is reported to CarFax. I assume its a good thing that a faulty part has been repaired.

 

yea the owner said it was some label on the emissions sticker though so unless hes lying i dont think its a faulty part....i hope
