finding a 2005 for sale in the mid to high teens?

hey im buying an evo soon, and i really want a 2005 over an older one, do i have a very good chance of finding one with ok mileage in the mid to high teens? ive seen a couple for sale around 18 with over 70,000 miles, but i want a little less.

Short answer - probably not. If you do find one, do yourself a favor and have it checked out by an Evo-specific shop. The odds are there are reasons why it's selling for a low price. Have a long look through the forum and you'll see multiple example of folks looking for cheap Evos, buying them, and discovering that the necessary repairs will make the cost higher than getting a good car to begin with.

If you want a good condition Evo for under $20k, your best bet is going to be an 03. You might find an 04, but I think an 05 is too much to hope for. Unlike other Mitsubishis, the Evo tends to hold decent value.
