new here

whats up guys? well my names rick. here cause i will be getting an evo soon and need to get a lil more educated on em. right now i have a 2006 cobalts ss/sc. yeah, dont hurt me. always wanted an evo but to rich for my blood. they have come down in price alot so now is the time and i cant wait.

welcome...you'll feel a big difference in terms of power and feel coming from an SS.....just ask away any questions and im sure SOME of us will be happy to answer em correctly instead of telling you to go search lol

well the big thing is its a PITA to see even 300whp in the ss's. and even if you do get it FWD is FTL. Biggest thing i dont know is how your tuners work. Is it anything like hptuners for us chevy guys? in case you dont know it is run off a laptop to your obd2 port and you can pretty much tweak anything.

oh and the search thing yeah, we do that on the balt forums all the time. i will def search.

Pick up a tactrix cable and a laptop...download ECUflash and Mitsulogger or Evoscan, and you can do pretty much anything with your car....Read up in the ECUflash forum here and you'll find tons and tons of cool stuff...Mellon Tuning is on the stock ecu and hes making a little over 600whp.....and the capabilities of the stock ecu are growing people are finding more and more stuff out about them
