Picked up my EVO yesterday.

as some of you guys know, i've owned my srt4 for a little over 3 years now. i was looking to get into an evo, because i have wanted one since i got my license. i finally found the right one yesterday.

my gf has my good camera with her in france, here are a few pics with my cell phone...took the pics with my other 2 cars cuz nobody on srt4mation believed me haha. so i needed proof. will get better pics up in january when we return from france. enjoy

picked the car up from Ininity of Greenwich. Took me about an hour and a half to get there. This was the 3rd EVO ive checked out, which i dont think is too bad. One was in Rahway, NJ at Bell Mitsubishi, one at United Auto Sales in New Castle, DE, and then finally the winner was in Greenwich, CT. Car had just under 38k miles on it. They had been asking 26k for the car originially. Told them i wanted the car out the door for 24k. They werent hard to negotiate with. I had a very pleasant time with them. Off the bat, they dropped to 22k which would make it 24143 out the door. Asked if they could do any better. Then they said 21.9 was rock bottom and the best they could do. i believe it was 24035 out the door. That was close enough for me. The interior was immaculate and the exterior was not bad at all. Just the usual chips on the front bumper really. That was about it. It had Rallyarmor mud flaps, but that was it's only "mod". The car was from NH and was a one owner who was said to be about 60-70 years old. I mean the car just felt babied it's whole life. i am very happy with my purchase. Looking forward to beginning the learning process about these cars!

yea i dunno for sure, but i know the car felt right. Had driven 2 before this one. One with 14k miles on it which felt just like this one, and one with 24k miles on it that just felt like garbage. This one drove like the evo with 14k miles. the car was definitely cared for. Knowing it was from NH we put the car up on the lift and checked everything out. The only thing that was pretty bad was the exhaust. But i just figured, hey, i'm going to change that anyway. Just a few things under the hood such as the rad supports were corodded a bit. nothing major tho.

what did you think about the one in Rahway NJ at Bell Mitsu? Was it a silver GSR SSL in their showroom floor? I am looking at that one and may pull the trigger on it. Just curious what you offer them if any and how much did they offer to sell to you for? I believe they are asking for around 27,900 which is a bit steep I think. It is clean though and has low miles.

congrats on your purchase

i liked it. not a fan of the leather seats but all the other options are cool...sunroof, subwoofer, hid's and adjustable height on the headlights. car felt great to be honest. ran very smoothly. just so you know i got them down to 25470...see what you can do. good luck with it.
