Lurker..now member.
Been lurking on here for years. But never owned any mitsubishi. Well i finally picked up a 2003 Evo 8. It is currently in rebuild state (pistons, rods, head rebuild) and should be on the road again soon.
The teardown task was not to bad. I guess it helps a little being a mechanic.
Any ways, just wanted to introduce my self. Live in Birmingham, Alabama. Previous cars include:
2000 Acura Integra Type R (all motor..then boosted)
1994 Honda Civic hatch (all motor...then boosted)
2002 Honda S2000 (stock)
1998 Acura integra Type R (all motor...then boosted)
I have had my share of honda's, but have moved on..almost. I am still trying to sell my most recent Integra.
Im no stranger to speed either. My hatch went a best time of 12.3 @ 121mph on drag radials and then My integra went 11.50 @123mph on slicks with only 380whp...
I have been in a few autox comps and multiple Drag Racing events. I plan on keeping the same routine(DD, Track, Autox, Drag race), with the new EVO...
Hopefully ill meet some more of the locals here soon too once i get my car back together!

welcome man enjoy the switch from hondas. you should have boosted that s2000, there sick with a snail. buddy is in the process of adding a gt35r...so sweet. what are the plans for the evo other than the rebuild?
