Just Got my 06 Evo ix last night

I love it so far except i am having a problem already ARG. While giving it about half gas, it starts to mis fire, or fuel cut or something. I am so unsure what it is, i am going to take it to the dealer or mitsubishi dealer to get it fixed but anyone got any idea's what it could be. It dont even have 5500 miles on it.

You have a gsket loose. Did you get the turbo back or catback? on the turbo back you have to really tighten the ones up from the turbo 3-4 times is a cross pattern because if you don't they will have a small gap. You need to re-check the bolts EVERYWHERE and retighten as necessary. It could also be the EGR valve it could have excess carbon and cause this. Or the turbo outlet gasket that connects the cold side to the intercooler piping could be bad.

Well i just got the code checked and it was a multi misfire within the cylinders. So i am just taking it to a mitsubishi dealership and getting it fixed for free sense its still under warranty. I meant it only has 5500 miles on the car, thats total miles. Its ALL STOCK, no aftermarket parts atm.

Did you get the car from a private seller or a dealership? A IX with that low miles probably has been sitting around a lot. Plugs would be the first thing that comes to mind. I'm sure what ever it is, it will be an easy fix.

If it has been sitting, it could be bad gas.

I did buy it from a dealer. I spent more than i wanted to but i couldnt let this one go. Its everything i wanted in the car.. 5400 miles when i bought it, with everything.. 5speed.. which is what i wanted, not mr (6spd). I bought it for 24k. When they go for like 27k+ at this mileage.

For jmorris, its not bad gas, i just put a brand new tank of gas in it. I believe it is the spark plugs because the owner before me, which there has only been one owner, was a older guy that just kept it sitting in his garage. Drove it some, but not often enough to produce and mileage on the car. I was thinking it was misfiring when it started doing it, so i was thinking it could be the plugs, which someone said above me. Like i said, im taking it to a dealer tonight after work to have to fix whatever it is. I would do it but its free so what the hell, free is good . No matter what it is, they will fix it because the car is completely bone stock.
