When are ignition upgrades needed? Like the DLI or a coil on plug setup?

 

Typically when high boost and fuel mixtures can't be ignited. Don't even worry about it until around 30psi where most people seem to begin having issues with the stock ignitions.

I guess it all depends on the mods and the car some have an easier time igniting the mixtures than others. Honestly just don't buy one until you have reached the end of the ignitions potential.
