Evo Noob

Hello all, Recently I started looking at a 09' Lancer GTS but then thought, why not just get a used evo like I really want to. My problem is that I drive a long ways to work, 2200 miles round trip once every 6 weeks. Would this be hard on a car like an evo? I dont plan on doing much tuning if any. Also what year did they start putting on cruise control as an option? Or is there an aftermarket cruise? 1100 miles of interstate without it would be hell on the old foot.

I'm not new to performance cars but new to imports. I started building my 67' Coronet R/T when I was 16. Its strip only but not a real beast running 11'80s.

2200 miles every 6 weeks :-X i don't think the Evo would be the right choice, and as far as i know they don't come with cruise control so i hope your legs are up to it.

That is a lot miles. They don't start coming with cruise control until the X. They do sell aftermarket kits though.

An aftermarket cruise would work for me as long as I can get one. I know I would be putting alot of miles on it and really decrease the value but im ok with that. What I dont want to do it use the car in a way that would hurt it. Its not really want the car was ment for but I really, really want one....

Is there anyone who puts 18-20k miles a year on there evo and how is it holding up??
