Hey...just curious. I want to put an ARC Titanium shift knob on my MR, but every site I find says it's for the 5-speed. Will the 5-speed ARC knob fit the 6-speed, or is there a certain knob for my application. Thanks!

I don't think so, I bought (2) Fortune Titanium shift knobs, one for my car and one for a friend's MR, and it fit mine but the threads were too large on the 6-speed shifter, it won't thread up. Fortune offered me a refund so I'm gonna look for one that fits.

 

Fits fine. I have an ARC titanium knob on my MR.

 

There are different thread grading like someone said above. Some ARC ones, I think the older versions, has a lot more threading plastic and won't fit the MR correctly. Best is to get the seler to take a pic of the bottom of the knob to see. If the plastic goes all the way to the end of the knob then it won't fit the MR. If the thread doesn't go all the way to the bottom thenit will fit the MR...but still fit the 5 spd at the same time.

 

Yea pretty sure same pitch and everything. Did you and your friend install together, switch them and see if it won't fit on either.

 

fits fine i got the arc Ti round shift knob on my 06 MR no issues
