Question Another Spark Plug Question!!!

Sorry for yet another spark plug question.
Im to get a tune a custom tune on my "IX" (from Jack at Japtrix in FL.) with the open source programming. I have all the standard bolt-ons ex. manifold, o2 elbow, 3" turbo back, lower intercooler pipe, cobb sf intake, walbro 255, etc. etc. etc. with stock turbo. When talking to the tuner to make sure Im ready for tune he suggested running a standard copper 2 dollar plug for better spark and ignitability over the stock plug. Does this sound right? I have searched the threads and found tons of info on IX plugs, but none are standard plug reccomendations. All those I have seen running higher boost as well as much more H.P. and TQ are running stockers or a stage colder Iridium plugs. Is my tuner off his rocker, mistaken, or should I be affraid of his tuning knowledge? He has a decent rep. in Fl. for tuning evo's.
