So i have found a great deal on an EVO 9 SE with only 15k

Such a good deal that i dont want to say anymore about it incase someone swoops in.

Anyways The car is in great condition but i had a quick question.

The mods on the car are 3 inch titanium exhaust Vida (i think thats the name) 02 housing , intake, Wally 255 and larger front mount intercooler.

The car uses a greddy boost controller and has been tuned at 22PSI with 23.5 spike

I want to make sure that this is a safe amount of PSI with the supporting mods. car runs 91 pump gas

Car drives fine with no boost creep or any issues. Smooth power through out with no fuel cut.

My gut instinct is that its fine and safe but i want to ask on here before i buy. Closing the deal tomorrow afternoon

sounds like a nice setup to me. you should really find out who tuned it and what they used to tune it as well just to make sure the person knew what they were doining.

to give you an idea i see 1.6 bars (23.2 lb) on an off the shelf map from perrin using 93 octane with no problems. it is a full 1.5 (1st - 3rd) to 1.6 (4th and 5th) bars though with no tapper at all.

Are you buying it in a Dealer or private person? It have low mileage for a 3 year old car. Does it still have stock tires?

umm an o8 is an evo 8 not a 9,and he thinks v8's are better!! boo this man!!!

 

First off i do not think V8s are better if you made it through elemetary shcool math < always opens for the bigger number. AKA whats bigger better If you look its opening towards the Turbo4. So im saying TURBO4 better then V8.

It is from a private party seller. i have driven the car and seen in person its 30 miles away im going back with the check tomorrow.

PS it have ROBI spec suspension Coilovers swaybars the whole nine. Also it comes witht he stock suspension with only 3K on them.

Car is on its 2nd pair of tires because he did take it on a road track twice. Car comes with Brand new KBW2s and also extra 18inch rims with TOYO tires never used.

Yea i had an 05 Evo 8 MR which i sold in july Perfect time to sell. This will be my first evo 9

well the man seems to tell the truth but heres the thing. I know to check the Brembos for signs of sever wear like the white brembo writing turning yellow. After looking at the front brakes i see that the writing is starting to turn yellow. This is definitely a sing of heavy breaking. is this possible to happen in only 2 track days.

this was the only flaw i saw besides the Heat shield on the turbo it was taken off when the shop installed the 02 Housing.

 

If it drives nice, does it matter aside from the visual aspects? If everything works and you think it's a good deal I'd buy it, you obviously have the money if you're this interested. I doubt you'd regret this decision.

 

It's possible for that to happen in one 20 minute session.

 

If you check carfax, drive the car, price fits your budget, Checked insurance prices before purchasing all thats left to do is buy it and pray lol. maybe check to see if there is still a warranty left or did last owner void it with mods? I just bought a warranty from some company lol but its for a year and covers everything including turbo for just over 700. And finally for my own curiousity, is it Vida or Invidia?
