Gas Milage ?

So after installing my Turbo Back im getting HORRRIBLE! gas milage. Id think that it should improve right? So filled up and right b4 my E light came on i refuled at 180 miles to a tank! 14.5 average a gallon. whats everyone else averaging with Instake and Turbo Back? My Rear O2 is pulling a code (low voltage) but that shouldnt affect anything if im not mistaken.

Thanks in advance! :-D

Yea. Sometime i get 13-14/gal sometimes 20. It really depends on how I'm driving that day. Now, if you're babying the car and getting that kind of mileage, you might need your tune looked at.

Yea laying off is always the easiest thing to test so I did and got the same est twice. :-S It was all in city driving and shiftn at 3-37k 85% of the time others may have been 4 - 4200. When it was without the TB i was getting 240 same driving habits thats the weird thing. Ill def be seeing what happens Ill baby it even more LoL. Maybe the fact I dont have a tune is causing it? Thats next on my list.

I get close to 330 - 350 out the tank. And I drive 50 miles a day so I'm kinda light on the pedal I try to stay under 3krpm, on the frwy so I could get the most out of it.Try that for a week.

The only mods I have is catback,k&n,act hdss soon to be flash. But my trick is always shift before 3k and don't let the boost hit over 5 but we all know it pretty hard for that lol

How the hell are you getting 300-350?

Let me explain how far I have gone to maximize MPG's and not even came close to that.

I have tried anything from shifting low rpms to light throttle acceleration, low rpm cruises etc... I even tried to shift at 1.5k rpms and stay under 2k rpms! And you want to talk about low throttle, I even acclerated at -10 vacuum and cruise around 15-17 Hg in vacuum. Thats as light of a throttle as you can get.

So whats your secret? What rpms do you accelerate to before shifting and what rpms do you cruise at and in which gear for what ever mph your cruising?

Also your mostly highway mileage am I right?
