Question Getting back into an evo, but.....

which one

i am a former evo VIII owner, purchased mine in 03 with the first shipment and absolutely loved each moment in the cockpit.

long story short... had to sell the viii to purchase a house in DEC 04

fast forward 4+ years and i'm in evo withdrawal. so i'm gonna pick up an evo again. problem is, i'm torn between IX or X.

I love the look of a tastefully modded IX, and love the proven 4G63.

The look of the X has grown on me, but not quite sure of the new motor (forgot what it's called)

I got a new job with a 30 mile commute, so of course i'll need an evo to occupy my time!

your UNBIAS input would be greatly appreciated...

thanks guys

Well, if your lazy then get a X with a SST. If you want more power + fun + Real evo looks then get the IX

The X doesnt appeal to me much. Plus the 4G63 has so much more aftermarket support and all.

I say go for IX. You can get one for a steal of a deal right now too if you search well.

I am just playing devil's advocate right now. I say buy another VIII but whatevs

Is your commute on nicely paved smooth ribbons of asphalt like in my dreams or are they the normal concrete slabs that rise and dip 4-6 inches? If the roads are like the latter, then buy a X, they are more civilized and have a plush ride.

Wow there don.

Evo does not match with civilized.

Evo is a beast

You want civilized, but one of those 5k pound benz's for 100 grand.. haha..

Evo X is smoother maybe, but that takes away the racing aspect from it.
