04 sti to evo x = big smile :)

Hey everyone - so you read the title right "had" (and let me just clarify the word had) an 04 STI .... now I'm the proud owner of a Phantom black evo x! I am really excited about the potential of this car. I am already getting ideas from this forum, it is quite impressive. So - I belong to the evo family now - so long subaru ..... you will not be missed.

- and btw what was subaru thinking when they redesigned that car - it's horrid!

Honestly, it's the things you don't like about the sti. They are both fast cars, it's the esthetics you look at - for me appearance and clean lines is what invites you to the evo and of course the best part soon follows.

I agree, I respect the Subies for the power but I would rather havemy Evo X for the sheer looks.

Coming from an o4 wrx w/20g turbo etc... I like the fact that it cost less to mod the Evo. I also agree that the new look of the STI is

. Although if Subaru would not have made the change I would have been driving a STI today instead of my awesome Evo X.

I second this comment as I had an 07 STi before I bought my IX. I am so happy with the way my IX looks. I think subies only look good lowered wingless with some nice aggressive wheels but even then EVOs are still much better looking period.

in many threads on IWSTI I see people posting that they would have bought an EVO but they either got a better deal on the STi and since Mitsu has terrible customer service and their car salesmen are usually dooshbags... this further deter them from purchasing an EVO.

As for the EVO X and 08 STI... I still prefer an EVO IX in terms of looks. I do like the interior a bit better on the X though but thats a whole another topic
