Just picked up my Evo

Had to fly into Nashville and drive it back to MD, but it was well worth it.

No plans yet - I'm telling myself that I'm going to keep it stock (other than the Injen intake/UICP that's on it now) but I'm sure that'll change.

Thanks for the welcome everyone...I'm glad to be a part of the Evo community.

If you don't mind me asking: How'd you know what the condition it was before you drove it home ? Did you see it before you comitted to buying it ? miles on the car ? yr ? and what you paid for it ?

Im looking to buy one, there are a few that I would have to "fly and drive home" and its kind-of a different situation haha

If you're going to "fly and drive", be prepared for a risk. You'll really have to research the car and talk to the dealer ahead of time. Ask for as many pictures as possible and invest a little money into a third party inspection. Also, you may want to go ahead and buy a round trip plane ticket as well just in case you show up and it's not what you expected. You definitely don't want to buy a car you're not 100% happy with just because you're stuck somewhere without a ride home.

For this particular car, it's an 06 with 29k miles. I ended up paying 21k for it.

Good luck with the search!
