First 1/4 in my Evo

Well i have raced many other cars in the quarter mile, mostly Hondas though, today was my first in the Evo. I finally got a sick tune from Dapper Dan, props to him the car is better than it has ever been. Back to today, first time at this track, their tree only had 2 stages. The three yellows lights up at the same time then you have your green. Its a bit problematic for the Evo i think. As soon as a hit the marker for the right vehicle placement the three yellows lit and then green. A total of maybe 1.5 secs. I am in no way use to that, so please laugh all you want at the following time info.

Reaction: 2.7567
60 Ft. : 1.9468
330 Ft. : 5.4828
1/8 : 8.41@82.77
1/4: 13.03@108

Mods are:
Fujita intake pipe, filter LICP and UICP, Synapse BOV, NGK 7s, FP 8WR w/10.5, Invidia DP, Invidia TP, Greddt Ti-C, BR MBC@ ~21, Walbro 255, HKS 272, Ported Ex. mani, Swift Spec R, and a very nice tune by Dapper Dan.

I hate this tree. I watched earlier in the day before i got a helmet and saw it was just like bump then green. I only had time to get one run, but given the reaction time i am satisfied with the results because i realize what it could have been. Just thought i would throw this up for some amusement. BTW i was the only import there out of about 3-4k people, Q-dog weekend

EDIT:
Well i went tonight i did better in the 60ft but slower in over all

first time
Reac: 1.36
60ft: 1.87
330: 5.41
1/8: 8.3@83.06
1/4: 13.07@106.06

2nd time
Reac:1.5
60: 1.86
330: 5.4
1/8: 8.3@83.16
1/4: 13.06@ 106.46

Slowly picking up in some areas. It fell about the same as the other day, i believe this tracks time system is just different than the other track.

reaction time has nothing to do with your et. the light could turn green and you could sit there for 20 sec and still run the same time as if you had a .003 reactoin time. but there is alot of room for improvement with your 60ft time. in some cases whatever you shave off your 60ft time will shave off twice as much on your 1/4mile et. so if you could get your 60ft down to about a 1.7 you should be pretty close to runnin 12.5 and maybe gain 1-2 mph. so just stage the car and get on 2-step and dont worry about when the light turns green, wait till your ready then make your pass. but its still good for your first outing, you will get much faster et and traps with more seat time.

He should get low 12's with a good 60. Mine ran 12.2 with about the same upgrades.

1.7 1.8 is good if ur just basic bolt ons and get a good launch.

1.9 2.0 stock with an ok launch.

mid to low 1.7's should be easily obtainable after 2-3 passes, track prep also plays a big role, and everyone has a diff learning curve and natural ability. just stick at it and your times with get better with every track visit.

ya i just found that out, lol. Never knew that. Ya my 60ft is lame i was trying to rush the 2 step with the light changing so i did not get a proper launch by no means. This wed if it does not rain i will be attempting it again.

Never been to a dyno, the closet one is ~5hrs away. I have a stage two build in the works that includes either a bushwacker tranny or sheptrans as the headliner with some other goodies. After that i will make my way to a dyno.

I am going to read around for this, my car has 97k miles on it and i am reluctant to go around 2 stepping to practice my launch and test to see how long it takes to boost up. I am afraid i am going to break the tranny or TC. Is there an ideal psi to launch from? I did not even watch the guage to see where i was at on this run. There was like 4k people out there for qdog weekend(black fraternity thing). So i was a bit shaken up
