Talking Stock with diverter or blow off?

Do the evos come stock with diverter valves? I don't recall hearing any boost "swish". Or did I just not pay enough attention?

yea in all honesty, diverter = what? much better or slightly better performance? Less turbo surge or creep or something or what? Everyone says bad to bov. I would much rather hear that **** though!

here the swwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww sound loudly is ricer terriorty if you put a intake on your car you will hear the diverter valve do it i never heard anything until i installed my complete injen kit and now i can here the shoooooooooooooooooooosh sound all day long but you cant hear it form the outside like some of the srt4 running around here. Darn things sound like airbag suspension letting air out. the best bov you can pick up is a APS twin vent can hold 40 psi all day long

ricer territory? I think the big cf wing kind of allready enters ricer territory =) These are turbo'd 4 bangers! I have always liked body kits and that whole bit anyway -i am a ricer. As much a ricer as a white boy can get haha. I love the sound of dumping to atmosphere.
what are the flaws again of bov vs diverter?

Drivability, flutter, and it screws with your MAF. Not to mention less MPG (proven). That being said, I run VTA bovs, why? I run more boost than a stock diverter valve can handle (27-29psi, stock turbo). I also do like the sound... not gonna lie...

You have a evo 8 correct? Either way, you are going to want to ditch the plastic diverter valve you got (assuming you still have the stock one on) and get either a stock 9 diverter valve.. and if you want to go VTA, I would suggest the TurboSmart Dual port, great bov.

PM if you need to know about any other bovs..... I think I have ran most of them

yeah its definately a big wing but its functional stock. I like it just because when i look in my rear view mirror, i can see it and i think that last redbull i drank just gave me wings and i can fly =)
