Proud new owner of an Evo!

Hey guys, im new to evom.net, ive managed to purchase a used 05 evo GSR on the F/S section on here! What can i say, its a beaut and a beast. Took it on a cruise already and it just eats up all the corners, flies away in a straight line and just puts a smile on my face every time i turn it on! I have managed to make ALL my friends jealous and they have decent cars, E36 M3, E39 540i, 350Zs, so on so forth...all before i have even started modding!!!

Ive been on evom.net a lot looking around for information and what to do with my new beloved evo, and have a pretty good idea of what to shoot for in the upcoming months...one thing that i have tried looking around for and received no answers to is the fricking puny *** fuel tank that mitsu decided to install for the evo. 14 gallons....were they smoking crack? i have to fill up on gas almost once every 2-3 days! i want to try and install a long range fuel tank, wondering if anyone has done this before or have any info on this. Thanks in advance!!

Anyway, pics of my new beaut!!

those Evo IX taillights look great.... and, yes, unfortunately, it seems that the tiny fuel tank, along with the rental-car quality radio/CD & AC/heat console, made their way into the Evo from the base Lancer... the rest is, ALL EVO!

anyway, welcome, and good luck

$250 and 30 minutes is all it takes for a new good cd player. It makes the interior looks a TON better:

Nice car man though I love the TB color...except when it needs a wash (always...)

bought it off someone from evom, 40k miles, 18k price tag, pretty much stock engine besides for megan cat back exhaust and what seems to be a forge bov that is recirced...but nt too sure, manual boost controller and some gauges.

just finished the install of kicker 700watt 5 channel amp, alpine speakers all around, pioneer tweeters up front, a infinity 12" sub and pioneer AVIC N3 deck (Nav/DVD player also!).

Saving up some money for some coilovers, but in the mean time im prolly going to go for short shifter cuz the throw seems to be quite long and i dont really like the position of the shifter....maybe some different gauges, right now its the mickey mouse gauge and its blocking my view of the fuel gauge...so i dont know when i run outta gas -____-''...im considering tripple A pillar, get some nice Defi gauges, boost, oil pressure and i want to get a wideband O2 sensor so it helps when i do increase performance. Honestly, i love the car as it is, and it will take some time for me to get used to the increase in power from my previous car as well as the superb handling it already has, so modding right now is just for interior comfort =)
