Thinkin about an Evo X GSR

I've been thinking about trading in my cobalt ss/sc for an evo x gsr this summer cuz idk if my car will be good enough imo for auto-x. its alright but not great. so im not looking to put tons of power in the evo since it already has enough but i would do injen intake kit, cat-back, springs, struts, hawk pads, sways, struts, and tune. then b done with it.
So do u guys think this car is for me? if this is wat i want.
a quick dd and a good auto-x car

well i would do Turbo Back, intake, coilovers, brembo pads should be good enough, not sure you need a say bar, and get a tune. the stock Evo suspension is fairly good, especially with the AYC....but maybe some EvoX owners can chime in...

the reason i wouldnt do dp i becuz emissions is hella strict in california, cops are really cracking down on it and they always pull evo's over.
and it would be just intake kit and sways for awhile due to money

just do air filter and tune thats all u need. thats already going to put you way up there in the power you need. Forget the catback and intake......

Crossed over from owning '05 STi since 2004. I love my X GSR. You may find the suspension is plenty stout from factory.

Do you have a thread where you compare the 05 STi to the X? I have an 04 STi and am thinking about making the switch to the X.

I think you'll be happy with intake and tune for awhile. Everything else would be gravy.

The car with stock suspension is pretty good for starters. I would go the route of a drop-in filter and tune myself for power since california is so strict. Just make sure you have some sticky tires your car doesn't come with the stock Advans.
