I've been trying to patiently wait until i find exactly what im looking for but i've come across an 06' with 7k miles for less than book value and im sure theres still room to lower the price, my only concern is that its red and i've never been a fan of red cars...

would it be impatient of me to jump on this deal or should i wait until something more to my liking shows up ? In my past month of reserach i've been having alot of trouble finding evos in mass with clean historys...its making me nervous that if i wait to long this deal will slip away and i'll never find something comparable to it

you never know. the color might grow on ya. depends how much u hate red. if you've been researchin awhile and are aware of it being a good deal...would you rather pay more for the color you want? if it were a color i hate...i wouldnt go with it. if i was unsure of it...i'd think about it awhile and try to imagine if i could see myself 5 years down the road still being mad about the color.....

good luck!!!

See it in person, you may feel differently.

But if you have/had your heart set on a color, get that color. You will regret it down the road if you don't.

Unless you have the $ for a paintjob of course, just make sure you don't skimp out on that.

But judging by your name "Keepthechange" sounds like you won't

I wouldn't and I didn't. When I got my car, I was set on white but the dealer couldn't find a white one ANYWHERE. In fact, South Coast only had one left and I was ready to fly out to get it if I had to. The local dealer offered me a great deal on a new GG IX and it came down to "Are you driving out of here in an Evo tonight?" I told them I'd sleep on it.

The very next day, a WW MR with 3,000 miles on the clock came in. A new MR was out of my price range. They offered me this one for as much as we had negotiated a new GG IX down to the night before.

It was meant to be.

Well, just my 2 cent here but if you were going for a brand new factory EVO, then I say go all out, make sure it's exactly what you want.

However, that is not the case here. IMO, low mileage, excellent condition, and a clean history take priority over color. It is my experience, limited as that may be, that most EVO (and Ralliart) owners are always tinkering with their rides, performance upgrades, interior, exterior, etc.

I would say, work with the owner, try to get the price down and use the savings to get a new paint job. Keep in mind that getting a car repainted a new color...CORRECTLY...is neither easy nor cheap.

So, I would say go for it...but that's just me!

Seems like a good deal and low millege the Red can look really good if done right only thing I would do is put on a paint protection of some kind because they tend to fade than you'll have a red/pink evo hehe I have an Apex Silver Evo9 right now if I were to do it again I would of got either a Blue or White one.

i bought mine and didnt really like red cars but it has growm on me alot. i love it. it turns alot of heads. even police officers heads which isnt a good thing. but red and black/ carbon fiber look good together when u do it right. Ive always like white cars but this red one just really caught my attention and for the last year and a half ive had it, im stuck on it and even went out and bought a red bike.

I think that's a terrible idea. First of all a good paint job is going to run about 3 to 5 grand, not sure you're going to be able to talk the price down to cover that in most cases. Second, it devalues the car as if it were in bad accident. An all over repaint, even if you swear you did it just because you didn't like the color, tells a potential buyer to stay away. I'd consider it only if I planned on keeping the car forever, and even then I'd probably do some sort of custom color.
