Shell V-Power vs Sunoco 93...Anyone notice difference in MPG ?
I run shell because they provide the fuel for F1 Ferrari. And the pump road fuel must contain 99% of the same compounds as what goes into the F1 cars.

The issue with something like this is that the numbers can be very deceiving. We all know that our cars could either sip fuel or chug it depending on how its driven. So maybe the week you were running the opposing fuel you floored the pedal a bit more, it could of been straight up giving it speed or just trying to pass a few more cars on your way to work. For example some people swear that their car feels faster after an oil change. The best way I guess would be to run the fuel for a few weeks and take averages. In the end I wouldn't be surprised if both fuels run very similar both mpg and performance wise. It may just come down to availability and preference. So

I would like to see some solid evidence on these different brands of gas. My family thinks im nuts that I will only buy gas from my local Mobil station. I was tuned using their 93 and have experienced no problems from their fuel to the best of my knowledge. I am able to get gas from Sunoco and Shell pretty much just as easily so which one is actually the best?

Just to clarify I wasnt romping on it running the just the shell and going easy with the sunoco. I just drive normally and my mileage usually is always around 240 miles to a tank but thats with Sunoco.
I was thinking that maybe shell uses more ethanol content than sunoco like I stated on page 1. Ive changed between the two repeatedly to see if I was losing my mind.
Only thing now is that the area I live in its all shell stations and no sunoco stations at all. Go figure right.
That and the only two gas stations I do trust is Shell and Sunoco. Just make sure you arent filling up when the truck is filling the tanks up.

if i was to choose between the two i'd choose shell since their fuel is red fuel which is a top tier gasoline. here is the link i personally stick with these fuel retailers because i want to keep my fuel system and engine clean and free from deposits.
I use Shell if I can due to that cool cleaning stuff they use. If it does infact work, then that's great. If not, oh well, it's still the closest 93 octane station to my house. Sunoco or BP is my second choice.
