Trade in that slow Lancer and get yourself an Evo8. And if you need more power, get some mod. At least this way, you are trying to get a fast car to go faster not slow car to go fast. Money is no issue right? Evo is a Lancer just on steroids.

Please do not post in caps.

Stages depend upon who makes the kit. Seeing as how RPW and RRM are the only companies that make staged kits for the Lancer at the moment you may want to check out their sites.

http://www.rpw.com.au

If you want a quick Lancer you're going to have to toss a good bit of money into it. Why you chose a SOHC, NA, FWD car if money is no issue is beyond me, but hey...I drive one too, so what can I say?

why do you want twin turbos? it's cheaper to go single turbo, plus you get a better power band for a cheaper price. Thats why the supra guys upgrade to big single turbos rather than twins.

you're gonna have to do a lot more research and knowing about cars. Simple bolt on's won't get you a faster time, you're gonna need to learn or pay somebody to tune your car also.

Turbos put extra wear and tear on your engine, and if you don't know what you are doing it could cause major engine damage, no joke.

Twin torbo would be a bad idea to even mention in public. The car does not have the displacement to spool two turbos.

What kind of races are you losing?

If this is drag racing, then he should go with a sleeper. Sure, the Evo has a better platform to start with, but come on......drag race an Evo?

How many Civics with motor swaps will line up and race for money against even a bone stock Evo?

Go with a sleeper and you will catch people with their pants down.

leave the kid alone, he's asking for advice not what kind of car he wants. Any car can be made fast, just some cost more than others. Maybe he wants to be original in a way and make a regular Lancer fast! Theres options man, either go RRM, RPW, or theres even the ripp modds supercharger..up to you.

I haven't had one single Honda owner come actually put their money where there mouth is when it comes to racing my stock Evo.

I wish they would.

I don't like opening the car up all the time to prove a point. I feel the need to get something ni return every now and then. I don't even pay attention to the Honda crowd anymore for the most part. I mean, hell. What do I have to prove to them. Why don't they get serious with some cash if they really think they are faster?

Of course, I don't drag race, nor do I break any speed limits.......

Say that money really isn't an issue. It is possible. Perhaps he couldn't get insurance for an Evo and he wanted the body style.

If money wasn't an issue, would you be driving an Evo or an Imported GTR? Possibly a 911 GT2?
