Question Noob X question

Do you really have to wait a few minutes to warm up the turbo before you drive off? And the same waiting time before you turn off the engine after driving? I kinda allow 1-2 minutes before driving it and before I turn it off. It's kinda weird to me since this is the only car I owned that has a turbo in it.

I kinda read it in the manual but didn't really fully understand what it was trying to relay to me.

halp!?

Thanks!

The warming up before driving should be done on any car, turbo ot not.
Letting a turbo'd car cool down is more for the oil on the bearings in the turbo.

I don't run boost until my water temp is up to running temp. I usually turn the car off as soon as I stop, but I am never driving hard the last minute or two before I park.

I guess I need to adjust to this requirement. I normally just dont warm up the engine before driving it, and cool it down after.

Thanks for the input guys!
