Please help me out!!!!!!!!!!!!!
that would be a wise decision. if you were to get a honda first, it doesnt mean you cant mess with stuff to give you a gneneral idea of how things work. like was said by others, buy something with less horsepower, learn how to drive responsibly before you get in the seat of an evo. Theyll still be around when you become a senior or even when you go off to college.

Cross the bridge when you get there. It's too early to be thinking about the IF's...if this, if that. At your age, there's a great possibility that your interest in the Evo will just go away in two years. In the meantime, enjoy your bike and skateboard and stop stressing yourself with IF's.
Get an Audi TT Quattro 225. I had one and it taught me a lot about the concept of AWD and turbos in general. It's not even close to what an evo can do, however it will teach you the basic concepts and is a great beginner turbo car.
You can pick up a bubble honda with a k20 vtec motor and a turbo putting down around 250hp.. it will have good power and pull, not close to an evo but your young... your going to make stupid decisions (as we all did and some still do) and things break / blow up or crash. Dont waste $20k and destroy an evo and potentially hurt urself or someone else.
My first car was a 1995 Eclipse gsx.. had it when i was 16 upgraded the turbo to a 20g and it was a very fast 1st car. I cant count the amount of times i almost totaled it because of power and stupidity.
You need to learn how to respect a vehicle on the road with others.... Evo's are a great thing to build up too..
Plus insurance is going to be like $8k a year for you in that car.

don't get an evo as a first car.
Unless you are like an old fogey, which you probably are not, any ricer or high school shop class tool with a mustang or camaro will talk you into street racing because your ego will make you do it. If that doesn't then peer pressure will make you race them. You will endanger the lives of others and you could end up dead. Now this can also happen with any other car but because you have something that was shown in popular movies beating up on Yenko Camaros and drifting through Tokyo square, people will talk smack.
I bought my evo as a third car, I now have 2 sons and have had the evo for 3 years and people try to race me every time i drive the car. I will only go all out on Autocross events and the occasional trip to a roadcourse.
Be smart. AWD instills confidence in handling, but once grip is gone it is GONE. You slide out of control until you hit something hard. Learn about AWD and turbos with something slower, ralliart or WRX.
Besides, you'll be thinking about your evo sitting in a parking deck or parking lot getting dinged up by people, dented, wrecked or stolen instead of the classes at hand.
