Ram Air??

I did a search and didnt find anything on here but if there is a thread on this already i'm sorry...

I have a SRI w/o a heat shield but i was thinking of getting the RRM carbon fiber hood duct and make a custom heat shield to make kind of a ram air.... one of my concerns is water and stuff... or is just a plain old bad idea??

shouldn't have any problems with water. Maybe make a way to close the hood vent in the case of heavy rain just to be safe, since you live in a wetter area than me, but I don't think you'll have any problems either way.

you dont gotta worry about the water issue even if you have a hood duct.. the only time you gotta worry about your short ram causing hydrolock on your car is if you take your car for a swim in a pool or a lake
