Close to getting an Evo X MR, GSR, or 370z

I've been set on getting a fully loaded 370z for the past couple weeks now, but there aren't any in my configuration that are currently available nearby (within ~150 miles). I've seen a couple in dealerships that have an option off and I don't feel like settling. Really impressed by the drive, the numbers, and synchro-rev match. I felt like a real pro driving the car. I found a nice dealer who has the exact configuration I want coming in August, but I'm not sure I want to lose a whole month of Summer driving, especially when I have the money available now.

A sibling has an X GSR which I've been fortunate to have a lot of exposure to. It's an absolute joy to drive. There's a fully loaded one at a nearby dealership, but I'm a little wary of having the same car as him, though. I'm a little annoyed that the MR doesn't have a proper manual option. I would be interested in modifying the car a little bit. I am also a little disheartened that some of the nicer options from the MR aren't being offered on the GSR.

There is also a fully loaded X MR nearby, but it has around ~40 miles and has been test driven a couple times. I think this may be a little too high for my tastes. I haven't driven an X MR yet, simply because I'm wary of the simulated manual autobox. I haven't driven a manual auto that I've enjoyed in the manual mode yet. The options and comforts are really nice, however, on the MR, but I'm also worried about the ability to modify it further. I don't see too many MR on the road, and even here on the forums? In fact, my sibling's GSR is the only Evo X GSR/MR I've seen in our zip code so far (he lives nearby).

I'm unsure what to get or what to wait for, and I think if I wait too long, it may be too late. I spent the entire last night learning a little bit more from reading on here and on other sites, but am still conflicted. Any personal last minute thoughts from the community here? I'd really appreciate it. Sorry for the long post, but I think it's about as concise and relevant as I can get without being too vague or too droney.

Drop another 5 or 10k if you were going to get the 370z on the GSR, you will be running circles around any 370.

Yeah, with the deals I'm seeing for the Evo Xs these days, I figure I'd have a lot of extra scratch to start boosting the beast.

Thing is, the fully loaded GSR that's nearby is a WW. It's probably the only white car I've seen that I like, but I know in my heart I will always want a black one (all my past cars have been black; Corolla, IS 300, 330xi). I haven't been able to find a Black fully loaded nearby that is fully loaded!

Two totally different cars; a RWD two door, two seat coupe or a 4 door AWD sedan. If the 370Z was in stock and available, would you take it hands down? If so, get what you want. On the other hand, if you are interested in the MR, go drive it and draw your conclusions. Good luck.

Not sure where you're from, and if you do any gravel/winter/wet driving, but an evo will blow the doors off a 370z. hands down. you just can't do 4-wheel power slides in a 370z, or power out, all 4 wheels grabbing for traction.

The X MR is not a simulated auto-manual anything. it has dual wet clutches that bang through the gears, faster than you ever could. And in SST mode, it is sick. i have test driven one and it is truly amazing technology. the SST in the X MR are eons ahead of the tech curve compared to the synchro-rev match, but seriously? rev-matching used to set you apart from the crowd among the racing community - now i whenever i see a 370 around, i'll just know it's pure hax - rev-matching isn't even really that hard to learn...

If you are looking into modding though, go w the GSR (heck i would recommend an evo 9), and put the extra 10-15k into power/suspension mods. if you are the kind of person that values a good "luxury" interior. go with the 370. the evo wasn't meant for cozying up - it's made to blast from A to B with a raw intensity that any other car would be hard pressed to match.

Thanks for the replies everyone. Good points from all. I'm now leaning on a GSR so I can drive it in the winter time.

I've also been looking hard into an STi and can get a loaded one for $37k out the door. I think I can get a better deal on an X now, from what I've read on here.
Loaded GSR going for $40,047. It's in WW; I really had my heart set on PB.

What do you guys think is a good out the door price to negotiate for?

No he will not be. Drive a 370z and you will change your mind automatically.

I'm looking as well. You can get the EVO X GSR for under $30K right now, with like 200miles on them.

The EVO X is a good car and all but I'd wait for the 370Z. Nissan knows how to make a great car and it's a much sexier car than the X.

Would have gotten an STi if Subaru had the same deal. 370z if I didnt need a sedan, synchro revmatch should be fun
