hey everyone, my name is Andrew and i live in Colorado. i go to CSU and i'm majoring in mechanical engineering.
i joined up here because i'm considering buying an evo 8. right now i drive a Nissan 300ZX. it's a great car but i need something a little more practical. the Z is all but useless in the snow we get here. the pro's for buying an evo would be AWD (obviously), 4 doors, better fuel mileage, and, let's be honest, an evo would spank my NA Z's tushy. i'm curious as to what to look for when buying an evo. i haven't done a whole lot of searching but i'd like to know if there's anything in particular to look out for, such as maintenance like a 60k or whatever.
thanks, and sorry for any newb-ness.

Welcome.
This has been discussed a lot. When buying a used car, youre at the mercy of the honesty of the person/place that is selling the car. It would be ideal to take a mechanic or experienced evo owner with you while looking at the cars. For a really detailed service plan, call a dealer, as theyll tell you all of the service intervals.
I recommend buying from a seasoned member on this site. You can research their posts and may get some history on the vehicle before speaking directly. GL
