Looking to buy an Evo 8 or 9... Reconstructed title!??

Hey guys, I'm in the market for picking up a Evo 8 or 9. I just had a question, I found a very nice 2006 Evo 9 mr for sale for 20,500. Although it has a reconstructed title. I understand for it to be reconstructed title it once had to be salvaged correct? So salvaged title means frame damage or the monies to repair it cost more then the vehicle itself right? So this guy is telling me it was in a light fender bender and only the front fender had to be replaced. Is 20,500 too high for what it is (what should I offer him)? Shouldvi just stay away? It has 17k miles. Very clean, very nice i need some advice. Thanks in advance!!

first of all you can get a salvage title if the car was stolen from dealership then recovered so many ways other then destroy your car then rebuild to get one. Your never going to get a loan on anything but a clean title unless you go though one of those special banks. so means you paying this puppy off. For that much money you can buy a evo with a clean title easy. You have to think about what if you want to sell this thing. People see reconstructed title and get nervous and want to lowball or not even consider. I would say avoid not worth the future headache.

reconstructed title for 20,500 seems like a pretty terrible deal. i don't see a "light fender bender" causing that much damage. you should be able to find a clean titled one for that if you don't mind driving a few hundred miles
