Introduction and questions (warning, kinda long)

Hi everyone! I've been reading posts for several weeks now leading up to buying my RR Evo X MR which finally happened last week on the 3rd. It took me years to finally get here, having wanted the Evo since before even the Gran Turismo days lol (cousins in the Philippines had them). I've moved on from my '99 Civic Ex (1st owner, tasteful subtle mods like suspension, drivetrain, rims/tires, etc) and I want to continue this tradition with my new car (definitely don't want to void my warranty tho since I got the extension to 10yrs/100k mi). There's so much great information here and everyone seems genuinely helpful, so I'm looking forward to pitching in when I can.

Btw, for anyone interested, I got an awesome deal (5k under MSRP 0% APR w/Tech Pkg) on my MR at Tom Masano Mitsubishi in Reading, PA. Chris Karr really worked hard to get me the best deal and the whole experience (test drive, sales team, delivery prep) were all top notch. Call them before you pull the trigger and see if they can beat your best deal!

I'll try to post pictures soon but so far the car is absolutely amazing! I finally got the launch control working yesterday thanks to the posts I read on here and the kick made me . I'm originally from the Bay Area, CA and still trying to get a feel for the car scene out here in Flushing (Queens), NY. So if a newb can ask for some tips here goes:

I've heard that buying a "new 2008" means I should get the car tuned up (and wheel alignment?) asap. Can anyone recommend good baseline (no mods, approx 700 mi delivered/1200 mi on it now) tuning shops or dealerships for maintenance in my area (I've read about Ivey and DG Motors but would they make more sense post mod)?

What are some good first mods to do? From what I've read, I should get a boost gauge/timer(?), prepare to get a set of decent winter rims and tires, and maybe ECU programming? Any recommendations? I've read a little about Vishnu on the board but there doesn't seem to be to many members running it. Are there tracks in my area I can really open up the car at?

Just a brief rundown of my car exp: 1st car was a '85 Supra, then '88 Supra, learned stick on my dad's 86 300 ZX Turbo, and drove stick on my Civic for the past 10 yrs. So far, love the SST and it's flexibility for daily driving and on the fly shifting. Glad to finally be part of the AWD family
