My crashed my Evo 9 Se and need to replace the transfer case and trans (They both had big Cracks).

I found a transfer case and trans off a 2003 Evo, will they fit my car.

 

An Evo IX has the ACD transfer case and the 03 Evo VIII does not. The ecu controls the ACD function so i dont think it would work unless you get the TC from an 05 or newer Evo, since those would be equipped with an ACD.

yeah the tranny is the same, but the tc will be different

 

your right and wrong...the trans will work. its not the same only for the fact that the IX trans has diff gearing ratios. but yes you can still use it

 

Oh yeah, i forgot the gear are diff but it still would serve the purpose for him to get his car working again.
