for the flash, you send them the ecu and they flash it there then send it back to you
its basically a non custom tune for them parts

not sure how much it would cost for the install of the stuff. id guess like 5 hours labor?

Yes they flash the ecu with their software. Yes, your car would be out of comission with no ecu in it. Some people offer email flashes, but you'll need software for that also.

Just some local mechanic probably won't have any idea how to tune it. Where in Texas are you?

Do flashes void the warranty?

You mentioned not knowing much about cars but a cat-back exhaust and the other things in there would be a piece of cake. Best advice would be to find some local guys that are into cars and they'll help you out. You might be surprised how willing people are to give you a hand with simple stuff like this and you'll learn along the way.

I don't know much about cars but I was able to do a much bigger job on my car last weekend with the help of a cousin (FMIC/uicp/licp, radiator/fan shroud/hoses, DP-back exhaust, rear swaybar). It's basic hand tools, a jack, and some jack stands. There are great pictorial how-to guides on here that you can study for the basic bolt-on stuff.
