I'm considering the Ralliart duracon (bulb style) shift knob for my IX. I noticed there is a short and long version. 83mm or 70mm. Does the short version leave a gap between the shift boot and the bottom of the shift knob? I'd like them to meet up flush. Thanks.

No. It's just a matter of personal preference.

 

^^^exactly what he said, it just depends on if you rather have a slightly taller shift knob or not. 13mm is not much tho. lol

another nice shift knob is the Tomei duracon. there are also 2 versions and its fairly cheap!

 

I've seen lots of the tall one installed on here. Anyone have pics of the shorty?
