I was originally set on an STi, but widened my search as car after car ended up being not quite up to my standards. Ended up settling on my favorite color of Evo, a white 2005. Apologize for the quality of photo's and the fact they are still at the dealer, fortuantly I had my father scouting vehicles for me back home. I'm active duty military stationed out of Ft. Riley, KS and just recently returned from Iraq. I have to wait tell November 1st to lay my own eyes on it. I'm so excited its not even funny. Going to get a service done on the car when I get back, and install Kartboy shifter bushings.

BTW- Any recommendations as to short shifters? I was looking in to TTP Engineering's short shifter but couldnt find much info. I'm only looking to enhance the driving experiance for now, after winter I will start with strut bar's, sway bars, and maybe spring's to tighten the car up.

i think the current route for a cheap descent short shifter is found in the how to mod your evo 100$ at at time thread. it involves an ebay short shifter some cutting and buying oem stuff from mitsu.
Great place to start. Also, you may want to learn as much about history of the car before anything. Too many members come on here with problematic cars only after a week. My advice, have your OBD scanned for any codes, becasue I've known quite a few who have had CELs bulbs that were pulled as if there were no problems. 2, fidn someone with a Tactrix cable and look at the ecu. Some of the locals in my area found their cars had been highly modded, then return to stock and sold as if OEM. However, the fuel maps look like it was made for a huge turbo. Not to scare you or anything, but its good measure. BUt the car looks great otherwise! Good Luck

looks good man!
def looks like an after market exhaust, not sure about it being lowered. It is hard to tell from the pictures though.
congrats!

nice ride! hopefully you get some time to drive it. i bought mine brand new in 06 and because of the deployments it only has 30000 on the clock. i got a buddy who is a company commander up there he told me it sucks, but at least you have a sweet evo to make it better. welcome to your new addiction and empty pockets.
I already have several addictions, two fast hobbies and one that that involves flinging small projectives down a grassy field towards a piece of paper ;P.
I have already had the dealer do a complete inspection, needs
timing belt service
radiator flush
Brake Pads and rotate/resurface rotors
new plugs.
THis site has already helped me out, picked up a Timing belt service kit from Mitsubishiparts.com (which is actually in my home state no less) and a set of Hawk HPS pads from Rallysportdirect.com. WIll definatly save me some money over brembo's stock pad costs (yikes) and heard good things about the Hawk pads. That, and I found some Kartboy bushings on rally sport as well as some NGK spark plugs. Definatly saved me some money over buying the OEM from the dealer. OEM isnt bad, by no means but there are better things out there.
I dont beleive it has been lowered, however it does have a turbo timer (not a bad thing) and an exhaust. Other then that everything else is stock, unless u count the MR floormats.
Thanks for the advice guys, glad to be here.
