Picking up 03 for 13k with mods
ok guys so i have the car now... car does not need a head gasket... compression checks good..tranfer case makes no noise and car drives like perfect... anyways to answer peoples questions i owned 3 previouse evos. the mr being my last one.. i liked the mr alot. just cost way too much compared to this 13k evo 8..
u show me a 06 that dynos 480whp with minimal mods...oh and i never used my acd on my 9... for 13k even if motor was shot i could get a built shortblock and buschur head for 5k... how in anyway possible is this a bad deal...
anyways to some everything up car runs awsome no problems. just changed oil.. getting ready to do a new clutch(its 3 yrs old and slips when i run the race tune at 30psi) and send the tranfer case out... took car to the track just to see how it would do. ran a 12.4 at 109 with a week launch and verry slow shifting... btw i was in 5th at the end of the track.lol.. **** poor driving on my part but then again i wasnt trying to beat the **** out of it.. oh and this was on pump gas at 22 lbs
oh and i will post up pics within the next hour and did i mention it has drop in pistons and rods as well with cams
says the man not driving an mr...(03) timing vs (06)mivec, acd better seats, newer car,better lighter wheels.. bigger stock turbo that will make the power of a t3t4.with minimal mods. keep in mind hes buying a car that needs a head gasket and has high milage. and is highly modded.. people dont put big turbo setups on there cars and not beat the ***** off them. its your $. id walk. and buy an 05 .

i did the front bumper when trying to get it up on trailer... im gonna fix it up. dont know what pipe... its coming out tho for something different
Major downgrade would be evo to lancer or something.
Evo 8 to Evo 9 is not a huge difference, he's basically the exact same car. Sure minus the interior, wheels, mivec, a few miniscule things. I have a 9 and an 8, and I don't miss out on anything driving the 8.
