sunk cost? any mods are a sunk cost.

and rwd probably isn't as fun to drive in south dakota duh!

bought my evo right after I turned 20. Haven't regretted a moment of it. If money and timely payments is not an issue, I say do it.

I would probably take the advice of the older members as opposed to the younger ones. I bought one at 20 and believe it or not they are still for sale right now as I sit here. I just had to have it then. So all in all it would have been smart if I would have waited until it didnt kill my whole bank account. It is an expensive car to maintain, as well as many other high performance cars

I am 23, I have had my GG evo 9MR for 8 months. I Spent 23k on it with 30k miles. It was worth and will contiune to be worth 3 times that to me, as everyday I look at it I feel like a kid at a candy shop. I would say if you like the car, and really want one, make it go right to get it. If its only a hobby or just a cool car to get, just pass. Its expensive to repair and mods are an endless pit for money.

I go by this philosophy......... YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE. @ the end of the day, regardless of what people may say, YOU have to make that decision. If you can make that choice, and except the consequences, either good or bad, that's part of being an adult, that's being responsible, and that, is part of life. You do what your heart tells you, everything else......... is in the wind. Good luck with your decision and remember..... its a machine, itz MATERIAL, itz NOT the end of the world.

Thanks for all your input. Based on what I've read I've come to a conclusion. If I can afford the car, I'll get it. Even if all I do is keep it until I've paid it off and sell it I feel it will be worth it. (That's just my opinion, and in the end, as somebody else stated, only I can make the final decision).

If I can't afford it when the times comes, well, it's that simple, I won't get it. I won't try to make it work if it's obvious (or possible) that it won't.

Again, thanks for the input. In the meantime I'll continue to research the Evo and gain knowledge about the car I hope to buy.

I know few people who are under 21 and have evos.. they do work hard, and thats why they have it.. I got mine when I was 21.. I still have payments on it, but no problems with them.
IT seem like you planned everything out.. I say go for it.. You will love the car..
Test drive a lot of them, check their engines, you have experience with engines, and enjoy it.. Hopefully Repo doesnt come to your house LOL
