A few questions

I currently own a 04 Cobra but I kind of have a itch for something different. I am considering a Evo but I would want it to be as fast as my Cobra. I know I wouldn't have the instant power I'm used to. My car has intake, exhaust and pulley and made 455/470 w/93 on a 94* day with not much of a cool down. I haven't made a trip to the track but cars with comparable mods seem to run anywhere from mid 11's up. If I got a Evo one of the first things I would do is convert to E85 because it seems to have great benifits for turbo cars. What kind of money would I be looking at to have a car that is comparable in a straight line? What power level would I need to be at?

Thanks

I'm assuming your cobra is supercharged ? Are you familiar with turbo's at all ?

Yes and to an extent. I know how they function but I've never driven a turbo car making good power only programmed diesels. What power level would an Evo need to be at to be comparable to my car? Let's say each car dead hooked.

You gotta remember a Turbo Charger lags..BUT on the flipside a Super Charger takes power to make power...

Also remember that Evo's are AWD and that's a HUGE difference in comparison to RWD.

I honestly don't know how much you're looking at to make the cars equal cause it's a hard comparison.

But If it means anything, I see Evo's Run 11's all the time.

Search the drag racing section or the registry and see what cars have what mods to get you into the mid eleven's. Evo's don't have a lot of top end power that is one thing to keep in mind. On e-85 with basic bolt-ons you can definitely get into the 11's with some decent driving.
