What can you do with the Cobb AP?

What can you do with the Cobb AP( Access Port)? I have read some threads that mention using it to flash using different maps. I am not entirely sure what this means.

Can you get these maps from somewhere and "download" them to the ecu for tuning? The ad for the AP says you can only use with the stock intake, so I don't know what to think.

Is there a better program for flashing the ecu?

Get a local tuner to tune your car for you; I think cobb aps are better suited for subies. I wouldn't run a generic map on my evo anyway.

Edit: they should have stage 1 or stage 2. or dyno tunning.

Throw it in the garbage and use ECUFlash for a custom dyno or road tune is what you can do with the Cobb AP.
