Turboback Exhaust Recommendations

Hey guys I'm looking for a full turbo back exhaust, including 02 housing, that will not make ears bleed but will give me good gains. My wife and kid drive in the car with me sometimes so I'm looking for something that will not drone a lot on the highway.

Any recommendations appreciated!

Look at the tanabe medalion touring and fujitsubo legalis, those are among the quietest you'll find with not too great a tradeoff with performance.
I have the tanabe medalion cbe, tanabe downpipe (with perrin hfc) and love the sound. It is very tolerable when putting around town but gives a very powerful, pleasing sound when getting on it.

def recommend Tanabe. I have had mine for 4 yrs and is still sounds great and wife doesn't mind it. It is a nice low tone that tends to put the kids asleep Plus it has not caused any prob. with the cops and I'm over 400whp

What Gredddy were you running that wasn't loud. I have heard mostly all of them and they are some of the loudest I have ever heard with either a HFC or test pipe. I couldn't handle the drone at cruise and the idle even was tough to handle at a standstill in the cabin. Traded up and have been happy since I got rid of that thing... I had the Ti-C...

I am looking for a quiet exhaust that doesn't drone as well. I have been looking at the Perrin TBE, any feedback on these?

Threads like this are very hard to contribute to as everyone has a different idea of what a quiet exhaust sounds like. For instance, I run our MAP turboback exhaust (sorry for the pics, we should have spent more time cleaning it up for the photo shoot lol) and drive 30 miles into work each day with my two year old daughter, but I do know some people that would consider it to be on the louder side...

Invidia N1 with ebay O2 housing and HFC is what I am running. Quiet compared to most others and does not drone. Significant power gains without being obnoxious. It has a good sized resonator which reduces noise levels. I was searching for the same exhaust idea as you and am completely satisfied with my purchase.

most companies make a good down pipe that provides a good power. You want an good cat back that keeps it quiet for regular driving but lets a little grunt out under some spirited driving..Get the Greddy evo2 catback, I have had it for a few years good tone and quiet enough to have a reqular conversation while driving 70 on freeway and still hear radio.

I'm going to look into the Tanabe. Whoever recommended the Greddy is bugging out, that is one of the loudest exhausts I have heard.

Anyway I have a new twist to the question, to make it even harder, what catback can I get with titanium tip that wont be too loud. I love how the Ti-c looks, but ya it's too loud. Any other exhausts mimic that look but aren't obnoxious?

Yeah, every greddy I have ever heard on an Evo that runs a straight pipe setup is loud. I have heard many knockoffs that sound quieter and in some cases even better. I just couldn't stand the drone and inside the cabin it drove me insane at cruise. Do your research and go on youtube and get some clips on the sounds and make a decision. When I got my Greddy I chose the name over the sound, a decision I regretted the day until I got rid of it...

We offer a nice downpipe back setup. You will need to find a downpipe or o2 elminator. But the note on the ETS exhaust is amazing. Here is a link to our system.

Thanks!
