OEM Radio/Gauge swap help

Quick question, I have an VIII MR with oem gauges and I want swap the gauges and put the oem radio down below where the gauges are currently. Both openings look like they are single DIN. Is this a direct swap or do I still need the "relocation kit?"

I am surprised nobody else has done this yet. I can't really even see the gauges where they sit from the factory.... any definite answers!?
