Ive had this car for about a week now and love it. just thought id see if i can get a couple of opinions. its got quiet a few power modds to it already , and had one of my friends look at it to make sure its runs good.
its and rs but has a lot of the features added back like front power windows, radio, and wing. i painted the stock wheels black and am going to strip the white off the hood so that its back to carbon fiber thats been swapped to it . and have some tien lowering springs im swapping out this week. other than that im trying to see if it looks better with or without the wing.

 

i like the rs version better why change it ?

 

i agree with not changing the rs model as well but i didnt add the features back, bought it that way. but i cant imagine taking the power windows off and radio now that they are there.
the wing is still in concideration cause i like it with both on and off.

i stay not to far from midway airport, and bought it of a dealer in west chicago.

 

i also think that the wing makes the car an evo, but it does look really sleek without the wing to. ill have to think about it still, cause if i go wingless ill fill the holes and wont put the wing back again and probably sell it cause the last thing i need is to be tempted to put it back and have to put the holes back.

 

Stay wingless...it's an RS. We own a rare breed. IMO the EVO VIII/IX looks much better wingless.

ill check that site out. and so far most of my buddys that saw the car both wing on and off say it looks better off. id like it to be seen as a rs as well instead of being assumed to be a regular evo(not that there worse)

i hate the way the hood looks to, but ive only had the car for a little while and havent been able to do anything yet, and its actually carbon fiber hood just most of it is painted white, dont know why the previous owner thought that was a good idea.

 

Keep the wing off where did you buy the car in west chicago i got mine frrom chicago motor cars. DONT buy cars from them they lie

 

yeah i actualy got my car from them, they seemed slightly shady so i brought my friend with me to check the car out though, hes the one thats going to re-tune the car for me. so if he says the cars ok then thats good with me, cause hes been tuning evos for years. but i will admitt that if it wasnt for a friend of mine that i wouldnt buy the car on my own, cause it seemed like they just wanted to dump the car on me and get it out.

 

thats exactly how it was for me i got there and nobody knew what was going on parts maintenence. i need mine tuned as well if you dont mind hooking it up i need it done as i have major fuel cut out in 3rd gear at 6500 rpm

anyways, i think you should keep it wingless, and do something with the hood. either all white or all carbon fiber. people do some weird **** to their evos just to be "unique". wanna be unique? buy a honda insight.
