so im looking into this evo, the guy says there is whining noise from trasfer case and 5th gear grindes and thats it. is that a bad thing? and does anyone know the estimate to fix it? let me know thanks.

If you can do the labor for removing the tranny you are looking around $1100 for a street rebuild from shep, for the t-case another $1200 + if more parts are damage on the tranny, t-case the $$$ will add up fast. if you can replace the clutch at the same time that you fix the tranny. GL.

 

Tell him to give you 6k off the price

transfer case is bad so is the tranny

 

Just say no to drivetrain rebuilds...if you can help it.

 

Don't buy. You're looking at 2-3 weeks of downtime. AT least and additional 4-5K off the price.
