what to look for.....

hey i currently have a 08 lancer gts but am looking to buy an evo, probably used. just wondering what are the key things to look for with these cars, like things that show signs of people ******* them out and not taking care of them. i know the basic things but with it being a performance car i dont want to get something that i will regret. i would perfer to buy one completely stock or close to it. but i was just wondering the main things that should be inspected when buying one used. thanks ahead of time for any input.

VIII, IX, or X? You'll need to be more specific for anyone to answer.

Everybody wants a used Evo that is mostly stock and hasn't been beat on. You might be better off looking for a car where most of the work was done at a shop rather than the back-yard. I've seen some nice 8's that were shop built and only a few thou more than a stocker.

lol
Check spark plugs, easy way to check...
I've seen people try to return to stock but not change the plugs, of course he wouldn't tell up that he was modded.

look at some of the bolts under the hood on the motor and things, and if everythings stock and the bolts seem really clean or new then something was probably taken off
